Roof Replacement Reviews From Pompano Beach Homeowners

Hear What Homeowners Say About Their New Roof From A-1 Roofing & Waterproofing

A new roof is one of the biggest projects you will take on as a homeowner. These Google reviews come from customers across Broward and Palm Beach who trusted us with their roof replacement, from the first inspection to the final cleanup.

When a new roof makes more sense than another repair

We tell homeowners the same thing every week: any roof over 15 years old in South Florida should be evaluated for replacement. Sun, salt air and hurricane season age a roof faster here than almost anywhere else in the country, and patching an old roof again and again usually costs more than replacing it once.

A roof replacement is also often what keeps your homeowners insurance in place. Many Florida insurers will not renew a policy on an older roof without an inspection, and a new roof built to current code can lower your wind mitigation premium.

If your roof can be saved, we will say so. Our inspections are free, and a repair is always the first thing we look at. See our roof repair service if you only have a single problem area.

Tile roof tear-off down to new underlayment

Signs your roof needs replacing

Roof types we install

Every material has a place. We will walk you through cost, lifespan and wind rating for your home before you choose.

Tile roofs

Concrete and clay tile is the classic South Florida roof and one of the best performers in high winds. We install new tile systems and replace failing underlayment beneath existing tile.

Metal and standing seam roofs

Standing seam metal lasts for decades, sheds rain fast and reflects heat. A strong choice for coastal homes and anyone planning to stay put.

Shingle roofs

Architectural and impact-rated shingles are the most affordable way to get a new, code-compliant roof on a home.

Flat and low-slope roofs

TPO, modified bitumen, R400 rubber and silicone systems for flat roofs, additions, porches and commercial buildings.

How a roof replacement works

Most homes are finished in one to three days once materials arrive. Tile and metal roofs can take a little longer. You will know what is happening at every stage.

Free inspection and estimate

We inspect the roof, attic and decking, photograph problem areas, and give you a written estimate with material options.

Permits and HOA approval

We pull the building permit and help with HOA paperwork so work can start on schedule.

Tear-off and deck repair

The old roof comes off down to the deck. We replace any rotten plywood and re-nail the deck to current code.

New underlayment and roof system

Secondary water barrier, flashing and the new roof go on, with extra layers of protection around every penetration and vent.

Inspections, cleanup and warranty

The city inspects the work, we clean the property with magnetic sweeps, and you receive your written warranty.

How much does a roof replacement cost in Pompano Beach?

Most residential roof replacements in Broward County fall between roughly $8,000 and $25,000 or more. Shingle roofs sit at the lower end. Tile and metal cost more up front but last much longer, which often makes them cheaper over the life of the home.

The price of your roof depends on:

We give you a fixed written price after a free inspection, with no pressure and no surprise add-ons.

Warranty on every new roof

5 to 20 years

Written workmanship warranty on residential roof replacements, on top of the manufacturer warranty on your materials. We are Tremco, GAF and GE certified, which can unlock extended manufacturer coverage on qualifying systems.

Roof replacement questions

Can a new roof go over my old one?

Not in most of South Florida. Florida code generally requires a full tear-off when replacing tile, and a tear-off lets us inspect and repair the deck, which is where hidden rot and hurricane weakness usually live.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most homes take one to three days once materials are on site. Tile and metal can take longer. Weather and inspection scheduling can add a day or two.

Do I need to be home during the replacement?

No. Most homeowners go about their day. We ask that cars are moved out of the driveway and that pets stay inside while the crew is working.

Will a new roof lower my insurance?

Often, yes. A new roof installed to current code usually qualifies for better wind mitigation credits. We offer wind mitigation inspections once the job is finished.
